Last week, the Training Center held a workshop for tourism managers on creating employee handbooks using a digital template. They were introduced to an open workspace on the Training Center's website that offers a variety of templates for the tourism industry, including an employee handbook template. The template makes it easier for companies to create their own employee handbooks without having to start from scratch, or update an older version to a more user-friendly format.

The workshop took place on Teams and was well attended with a total of 17 participants. At the beginning, they were introduced to the digital workspace and afterwards, those who chose to do so were able to start working on their own employee handbook under the guidance of Ólín and Sólveig from the Vocational Training Center.

An employee handbook is a valuable support for human resource management in companies. It ensures consistent practices, increases efficiency, and improves both the customer service experience and employee job satisfaction.

Dozens of tourism companies are already working on employee handbook templates in our digital workspace, which is open to everyone and free of charge.
